Famously known for its garlic production and annual Garlic Festival, Gilroy is a city in Santa Clara county that lies south of San Jose and Morgan Hill. It is connected to the rest of the Bay Area through the 101 freeway, and is the southern terminus of the Caltrain system.

The city has a dense suburban feel, with an abundance of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. It has a charming downtown district and is home to the Gilroy Premium Outlets, one of the largest shopping centers in Northern California.
